Build your portfolio
Use the guided profile, enter courses, map prerequisite subjects, review CASPA-style GPA estimates, and log PCE, HCE, shadowing, and volunteering.
BUILT BY THE PA LIFE + PA SCHOOL FINDER
Start with free Starter planning and help us make this more useful for future PAs. Qualifying Match AI purchases can claim Toolkit Plus; standalone renewal and AI Boost checkout are not open yet. This is an early web release, not an Apple App Store app. Your account shows your available features and allowances.
Start with fictional or minimal information. Never enter patient details, Social Security numbers, student IDs, financial account numbers, or confidential letters. Keep your own copies of important application records.
WHAT WORKS IN THIS BETA
Use the guided profile, enter courses, map prerequisite subjects, review CASPA-style GPA estimates, and log PCE, HCE, shadowing, and volunteering.
Search and save programs, explore the zoomable map, compare explained match checks, and follow each gap to the section where you can update your information.
Plan tests and dates, compare application costs with savings, build and print your résumé, and privately organize references and request packets.
When enabled for your account, the personal advisor uses selected saved planning context only after you consent to an answer. Document extraction sends your selected PDF or pasted text to OpenAI and proposes entries for review. Nothing is added to your portfolio until you review and apply it. Manual planning and explained school matches do not require these AI calls.
Letter uploads, the evaluator portal, and email sending are off. Maya, the personal statement builder, and other PA Life tools open separately; they do not sync your data. Program-watchdog monitoring and school-change alerts are not running. Automatic transfer of your existing Match report into the Toolkit is not available yet.
PLANNING SIGNALS, NOT PROMISES
A green match or a recorded check is not admission eligibility, a ranking against other applicants, or a probability of acceptance. Adding information can reveal a gap as well as improve a match. Missing information stays unknown.
GPA estimates are not official CASPA-verified calculations. Course mappings do not establish equivalency or approval. Programs decide what counts as PCE/HCE and which courses, tests, and other requirements apply.
The program catalog is a versioned PA School Finder snapshot, not a live feed from every school. Check its data date and confirm current accreditation, deadlines, requirements, and fees with each program. Calendar exports are snapshots, not subscribed reminders. Budgets are estimates, not payments. Recommendations here are preparation—not official CASPA submission.
BETA PRIVACY & DATA HANDLING
Your sign-in email and an account identifier connect you to your saved portfolio, résumé, budget, and private recommendation-planning records. Optional contact fields are saved only when you enter them; saving a reference does not contact that person. Unsaved edits are not part of your saved account.
Cloudflare hosts the Toolkit and its database. Clerk provides sign-in and maintains its authentication records and necessary session cookies. The Toolkit does not send recommendation emails or accept letter files in this release.
The advisor sends your question and selected planning context to OpenAI: GPA and goals, résumé summary, preferences, exam plans and notes, upcoming dates and notes, hours totals, up to 40 courses, incomplete tasks, and checks for up to 10 saved schools. It does not automatically send your contact fields or recommendation letters. Remove identifying, patient, or confidential information from free-text notes before consenting.
Document extraction sends the entire selected PDF or pasted text to OpenAI—not just the course names. Redact unnecessary identifiers before submitting. The original file is not saved by the Toolkit. The filename and proposed entries are kept in a review draft that expires after 30 minutes; expired draft content is cleared when the import service is next used, not by an immediate background deletion job. Applying an entry saves that selected information to your portfolio.
The Toolkit requests non-stored OpenAI responses, but this does not mean zero provider retention. OpenAI may retain content for abuse monitoring, normally up to 30 days with stated exceptions. See OpenAI’s data controls. The Toolkit retains advisor answers and request/usage records until handled through its data-deletion process. Closing the answer or signing out does not delete this history.
When checkout is enabled, Stripe hosts payment entry; the Toolkit does not store your card details. To verify access, it stores a hash of the checkout email, payment/session identifiers, pass type, timestamps, claim ownership, and refund/dispute status. A qualifying Match receipt may also retain its original report token privately. Claiming a purchase requires the same verified sign-in email used at checkout; a claim cannot be moved between accounts automatically.
Account checks restrict applicants to their own data. This is not end-to-end encryption: authorized operators and service providers may process data for operation, security, troubleshooting, and verified data requests. The Toolkit avoids putting applicant content into its application error logs; hosting and authentication providers maintain their own service/security records.
Correct saved information in its workspace. In My data & beta help, download the account JSON for saved portfolio, résumé, budget, recommendation planning, and any stored import or AI history. It excludes purchase and authentication/security records, other services, and unsaved edits; contact us for assistance with those records. Accounts with file or evaluator records require an assisted export. This is not an automatic restore feature.
To request deletion, contact us below. Deletion is operator-assisted after ownership verification; do not simply delete your sign-in account and assume the Toolkit data is gone. A disabled account/identity record is retained to prevent accidental re-creation. Authentication-provider records, security records, and provider backup expiry are handled separately. Deletion does not instantly erase historical backups or copies you downloaded.
There is no automatic end-of-beta deletion date configured. Keep copies of work you need, request deletion when you are finished, and ask us about the current retention/recovery process before entering information you cannot afford to lose.
ACCESS & INCLUDED AI
Starter includes manual profile, coursework/GPA and experience tools, program browsing, basic GPA/PCE fit for the first 3 saved schools, a deadline view and résumé text preview. Plus expands the list to 50 schools and adds full-catalog matching, prerequisite comparisons, calendar editing/export, résumé editing, application workspaces and limited AI. Availability is shown inside your account. Qualifying Match purchase claims are open; standalone renewal and AI Boost checkout remain closed.
A qualifying $29.99 Match AI purchase includes 12 calendar months of Toolkit Plus from payment. Your account shows the qualifying start date; earlier purchases retain their original terms. When renewal checkout opens, existing purchasers will be able to renew Plus for $29.99 for 12 months, paid once. Buying early extends remaining time; it does not reset AI usage or purchase another Match report. The 3-month offer is retired; existing receipts are honored.
New Plus offers include 20 advisor attempts and 2 document imports every 30 days with no rollover. Existing receipts retain any previously promised allowance. Provider attempts count even on failure; validation failures before an attempt do not. Daily limits (20 total attempts, at most 5 imports), one request at a time, global cost safeguards and temporary outages may pause AI. Check Access & AI usage for remaining runs. Maya voice sessions are separate.
Optional AI boosts, once their checkout is opened, cost $4.99 for 30 advisor attempts and 3 imports. Included runs are used first; boost runs carry over and require active Plus to use. They do not extend membership. Full refunds revoke unused boost credits, and disputes may suspend them. No automatic replenishment, overage billing or background AI runs occur.
After Plus expires, Starter stays available. All saved schools and portfolio data are preserved; only the first 3 schools receive Starter comparisons. You may remove schools to make room. Paid workspace records remain available through your account export, even when editing is restricted. Ask support about a missing purchase, email mismatch, failed attempt or refund before buying again. Never send card numbers or login codes.
Use your verified Stripe checkout email to claim purchases. The Match “Email my results” form and its optional Kit course sequence are separate: subscribing is not payment verification and does not grant Plus. This release does not change your original Match report, re-runs, result-retention policy or Kit enrollment.
A LITTLE FEEDBACK GOES A LONG WAY
What helped you move forward? Where did you get stuck? What is the one thing that would make this more useful? A short, specific note is enough—no invitation required.
These buttons open your email app with a few prompts. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it, and no Toolkit data is attached. Prefer a web form? Use The PA Life contact page and mention “Applicant Toolkit beta.” You can also email stephen@thepalife.com for access or data requests. Ownership must be verified before account changes.
For a bug, include the section, steps, expected result, actual result, device/browser, and approximate time. Use fictional examples. Redact names, grades, contacts, and account details from screenshots. Never send login codes, tokens, transcripts, letters, or a complete account export in a bug report.
If you see another person’s information, stop testing and report the time and section privately. Do not copy, download, edit, or forward that information.
Beta access is separate from existing Match, Maya, and PA Life purchases. This test does not migrate, cancel, or change those purchases.
